Yes, we offer canoe rentals by the day.  All rentals include paddles and pfds.


We have a fleet of Old Town Discovery 169 canoes to choose from.  We also have a couple of Old Town Discovery 158s for individuals that would like to solo paddle with less gear.  For a small family or a couple that would be interested in an extended trip on the Waterway, we have a couple of Old Town Trippers. 


No. Allagash rules restrict use of types of watercraft in several sections of the Waterway in order to maintain a traditional experience. Click the link for additional information.

Yes, we have a supply of camping gear that we rent out to make a guest's trip easier.  We also have complete packages which include the night-before-the-river-trip lodging and all of the gear for a successful trip.  Click on our Package Deal tab located at the top or bottom of the page for more information.


Yes.  The Allagash Wilderness Waterway restricts each party to 12 persons or less.


Campsite Fees
Maine Resident:
$6.00 per person-per night
Non-resident:
$12.00 per person-per night
Children under 10 years of age - Free

Note: All AWW campsites are first come-first serve and restricted to 12 or less campers.


Yes. North Maine Woods also charges fees for travel on the roads. Maine Residents $13 / Non-Residents $18 per person. You will only be charged for the ONE day that you travel into the waterway.  


However, if you must change your take-out point during your trip, you will be required to pay the same day use travel fee at the North Maine Woods gate where you exit.
